Poggio alle Gazze 2023 – Tenuta Ornellaia IGT White Wine

Poggio alle Gazze 2023 is an IGT white wine from Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, produced in Tuscany. The wine is a hand-blended blend of 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 37% Vermentino, 7% Viognier, and 3% Semillon. After fermentation in stainless steel, 50% of the wine is aged in oak barrels for a more structured finish, with an alcohol content of approximately 13%. The wine ages in bottle for 12 months before release, ensuring stability and complexity.

On the nose, it opens with hints of Mediterranean citrus, tropical fruit, and light spicy notes. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious, and smooth, with a good persistence. Serve at 8-10°C (46-50°F), ideal as an aperitif, with fish appetizers, shellfish, and seafood-based first courses. It also pairs well with grilled fish or seafood risotto.
