Firriato L'Ecrù Passito Naturale 2022 – Zibibbo Sweet Wine

L'Ecrù is a Passito Naturale IGT Terre Siciliane 2022, produced exclusively with 100% Zibibbo grapes grown in the Borgo Guarini vineyards. The vinification process involves natural drying of the grapes for approximately 40 days, followed by a delicate infusion of the dried grapes in the must of the second harvest, a technique almost unique in the Italian winemaking scene. The result is a wine with an intense golden yellow color, almost amber, that captures the richness of Sicily's hilly clay-loam terroir.

The nose opens with aromas of orange blossom honey, candied orange peel, dried apricot, figs, dates, and peach in syrup, with a subtle hint of aromatic spices. On the palate, the sweetness is balanced by a fresh acidity, making the wine ideal for serving at 10-12°C. It pairs perfectly with dried fruit desserts, tarts, blue cheeses, or simply as a dessert wine. 500 ml bottle.
