Castello di Ama Il Chiuso IGT – Pinot Noir 2021

Chiuso is a 100% Pinot Noir IGT red wine, produced by the renowned Castello di Ama in the Gaiole in Chianti area of ​​Tuscany. The grapes, selected from Morey-Saint-Denis clones, grow on highly calcareous soil at approximately 500 meters above sea level, in vineyards spanning just over four hectares. The result is an intense ruby ​​red, with aromas of cherry, blackberry, and light floral notes on the nose, and an elegant structure on the palate, with soft tannins and a persistent freshness.

Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at 30-32°C for 13 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and 12 months of aging in oak barrels, which imparts aromatic complexity and a captivating smoothness to the wine. Serve at 16-18°C, pairing it with red meats, rich pasta dishes, and aged cheeses; a brief decanting of a few minutes enhances its aromas. Store in a cool, dark place.
