Braida Barbera d'Asti DOCG Montebruna 2021 – Red Wine

Braida's Barbera d'Asti DOCG Montebruna 2021 is a Piedmontese red wine made from 100% Barbera grapes grown in the Montebruna vineyard in Rocchetta Tanaro (AT). It has an intense ruby-purple color and on the nose reveals notes of ripe cherry, plum, rose, and light spicy nuances of pepper and vanilla.

Fermentation takes place for two weeks in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by a year of maturation in large oak barrels, which imparts toasted wood aromas and a balanced tannic structure, and three months of bottle aging. Alcohol content is 14.5% ABV, and the bottle is available in a 750 ml format. It is best served at 18°C, opening the bottle a few minutes before serving, and pairs well with pasta dishes, red or white meats, aged cheeses, and cured meats.
