Biancolella Ischia DOC Cenatiempo - Italian White Wine
Cenatiempo's Biancolella Ischia DOC is made from 100% Biancolella grapes grown on the island's volcanic slopes (Serrara Fontana, Forio, and Barano), at altitudes between 50 and 300 meters. Harvest is done by hand from late September to October; fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled concrete vats, followed by two months of maturation on the lees and aging in concrete and steel before bottling.
The result is a dry white wine with a straw yellow color and greenish highlights. The nose offers hints of broom, chamomile, citrus, and light saline notes. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, mineral, elegant, and persistent, with an alcohol content of 12.5%. Best served at 10-12°C, it is ideal with seafood appetizers, grilled fish, or vegetable-based first courses.
