Alois Lageder Mimuet Pinot Noir IGT – Organic Red Wine

Mimuet is a 100% organic Pinot Noir from Alto Adige, grown in the Magrè area (BZ). The grapes come from vineyards located in Missiano, Pochi, and Appiano, between 370 and 520 meters above sea level. The wine, with an alcohol content of 12% vol. and a 0.75-liter bottle, is produced through spontaneous fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation. It ages for 12 months, partly in stainless steel, partly in oak barriques, and partly in concrete tanks, ensuring a balance between freshness and structure.

On the nose, a discreet bouquet of red berries, herbaceous notes, and light woody notes is perceived; on the palate, it is delicate, elegant, fresh, and velvety, with smooth tannins. We recommend serving it between 16°C and 18°C, and opening the bottle a few minutes before drinking to enhance the aromas. Ideal with red meats, rich first courses, and aged cheeses.
